Unfortunately it was cloudy in Skerries and it rained most of time. But RTE's Nationwide filming the event for a show due out in November, Prof Tom Ray of DIAS and Frank Prendergast of DIT made for a great show for the over 100 people who came along at the crack of dawn. "Oh well, we'll just have to wait the 105.5 years for the next one" said David Moore, Editor of "Astronomy Ireland" magazine. "Curiously living to 600 years of age is the subject of Astronomy Ireland's next lecture on Monday June 11 when the latest advances in enhancing the human body will be described by world pioneer Dr Kevin Warwick. Our could be the first generation that medically removes the need for death, but there is a technical reason why life has to end around 600 years of age." said Mr Moore.
