Astronomy Ireland request help in locating meteorite

Experts are looking for help in tracing a meteorite that blazed through the sky over Ireland last week.

Astronomy Ireland has said it is almost certain that fragments of the fireball fell somewhere in the west of Ireland, and they are looking for CCTV images, or eyewitness accounts.

It is most likely some parts of the meteorite could have fallen in Sligo or the surrounding counties and anyone with information is being asked to contact Astronomy Ireland.
