Monthly Lecture
Date/Time: Monday 12 January at 8:00pm  Ticket Only
Title: "Exploring Space at the European Space Agency"
Speaker: by Prof. David Southwood, Science Director at ESA.
Description:

On 25th December 2003 the Beagle 2 Mars Lander will land on "the Red Planet to search for life.  Astronomy Ireland is in the happy position of maybe having a "world exclusive" announcement to be made at the lecture.  Imagine that there is life found you have the opportunity to  hear about it first hand from the man that sanctioned and wrote the cheque for the Beagle 2 project.
Why not get a group of friends together and come and hear the most
important person in the field in Europe talk about Ireland and Europe's
exploration of the cosmos in the coming decades? All welcome.  Read a review of Prof. Southwood's August lecture in Armagh (PDF File)
