Thousands of people all over Ireland turned out for the Astronomy Ireland Mars Watches.  The weather was favourable in most places.  Dublin's Phoenix Park was graced with clear skies and a crowd of over 2,000 people came to view 'The Red Planet'.  Ten large telescopes were set up at the Papal Cross car park.  The event was covered by TV3 who sent a camera crew to the Phoenix Park.  Indeed there was massive interest from all of the media including RTE, who sent a camera crew to the Astronomy shop to interview David Moore.  Public interest was equally high all over the country.  Thanks to all the co-ordinators who help set up the countrywide watches.
Below are some pictures of the enormous crowd at the Phoenix Park event.
