| Astronomy Ireland members all
over Ireland will be setting up their telescopes and inviting the general
public to come along and look at the Transit of Venus on the 8th of
June (details below). The " Transit" will begin at 6:14 am in the
morning and will end at 12:26pm.
*Warning: Do not look directly at the Sun it will

you can buy sheets
and rolls of
Astro-Solar filter cheaply from the shop to make viewing of the Sun
safe with binoculars and telescopes. The Firstscope range of

When you come to the "Transit" bring along
a few euros to make a small donation and buy a copy of the club's magazine
"Astronomy & Space".
Let's hope skies will be clear, but each event will
run regardless of weather so go along for a chat and to pick up a copy of
Ireland's only full colour astronomy magazine. If you would
