                  Solar Eclipse Watch Reports

Astronomy Ireland held Solar Eclipse Watches around the country on the morning of October 3 2005 in the locations listed below.  Media Interest in the event was enormous with RTE television and radio (Morning Ireland), Sky News, TV3, The Irish Times all showing up in the Phoenix Park in the hope of getting a glimpse of this rare phenomenon.  Indeed David Moore was kept busy all morning talking to various radio stations all over Ireland.

The morning however stayed cloudy all over Ireland with only one report of seeing the eclipse so far from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
